When I decided to do a SHINE Coaching Package, I had just been let go from my job. I had been wanting to work full time for myself for years, so I decided to invest my last spare money into working with Julie, hoping it would propel me into my dream career, working full time as a self-employed designer and Empress of The Happi Empire. I was apprehensive about working with a coach over Skype, but it was fantastic. Right from the outset I felt instantly empowered, that I had Julie’s full support and felt she really believed in me. I can honestly say that attending the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Seminar and hearing Julie speak is one of the most impactful and inspirational experiences I have ever had. I walked away and remember thinking ‘I’m looking at the world with different eyes.’ I can still hear Julie’s voice echoing in my head, whether I’m faced with a challenging situation, a tricky decision to make, or bigger picture thinking about life. Julie has the ability to turn the simplest of issues on their axis and make you see them from a different perspective. The little gems she leaves you with can be applied to so many situations.

I am an artist specialising in commissioned art works and also have my own tea business called She-Tea. I heard Julie speak at an AusMumpreneurs conference and I can honestly say her words moved me deeply. She spoke about how self-doubt and a lack of self-love can lead women to undercharge for their products and therefore not make the return they need to continue to grow and blossom. I spoke to my She-Tea partners and we agreed to re-visit our pricing structure and at the same time I determined a new price for my paintings.
